Glendale is the West Valley anchor, State Farm Stadium (NFL Cardinals), Desert Diamond Arena (NHL Coyotes' former home), and the surrounding Westgate entertainment district. The market activates around event weekends and goes quiet otherwise. Rates here sit in the mid-market band. Agencies dominate this submarket; the independent share is thinner than in Scottsdale or even Tempe.

The hotel base is event-driven: the Renaissance Glendale, the Cambria, the Marriott Westgate. For a visitor here on Cardinals or NCAA event business it's a workable corridor; for any other purpose, the drive east to Scottsdale or south to downtown isn't worth saving.
